This fan fiction will go into detail about Shadow's complicated past, and will start with his creation on the ARK. Shadow is battling memories, mind-control, and struggling to find his true identity. Is he a Hero? A Villain? A Mercenary who cares for nothing but self gain? Or will he withhold nothing in his quest for revenge? He must discover who he truly is, and in the process, unearth the truth behind Maria's TRUE last request. I portray Shadow as a character who is torn between personalities. Devastated, Aurora goes out to search for the Chaos Emeralds to save all the dimensions in existence (later figuring out she has to do more), figure out more about her powers, and to find Shadow's missing ex-girlfriend. They meet a sprite, a loyal wolf, a resistance, a young bat, a twist-hearted meerkat, and twin hedgehogs that share similarities with Shadow and Aurora. Throughout the journey, they all learn the power of teamwork, making Shadow feel unsure since what happened on Space Colony ARK and the last fiasco teaming up with Eggman. Shadow and Aurora get closer throughout the mission, but will they remain strong? Will they work together to accomplish the pink hedgehog's promise to her deceased BFF and mother? Why would Shadow team up with Aurora and their "friends"? Could it be to reach destiny, or true love? Who knows what'll happen next? What would Sonic think of all of this? So many questions.
